Welcome to Performance Poles!

Meet the people behind the screen, and in the sheds! 🐴

My names Angie, I'm starting with me as I do the talking, advertising, websites, the brains behind the technology side of our business! Oh yeah, I'm also the owner of Performance Poles! I'm 27, I've been riding since I was about 12/13 years old and have been a crazy person that owned a horse since I was 16. 😂

Now in my later years you may find me out and about in lower level eventing - look for the petrified one holding on for dear life! Part of Mount Pleasant Pony Club, but also an EA member. 

I've always ventured into the equestrian business, but I felt a jumps manufacturer was missing in South Australia. It started as a backyard hobby after I had moved rural to start a new life, but it soon turned out there was heavy demand. 

Not long after I moved to Mount Pleasant, a little less rural but still Adelaide hills. Demand seemed to soar, horses were agisted, dogs were being a pain in a small town, so it pushed us to look for our own property. Our little farm at Sanderston was beyond hard to buy, but oh so perfect for all our needs!

20 acres later, and a large shed, and we BLOSSOMED! I made the decision to take it full time, and finally had the larger room and less issues to deal with. 👌

Once hay season started, orders became overwhelming. We had to make the decision to take on a part time employee. This was the best decision we made. 

That was a huge milestone for me! I’d never had an employee before! I’d had a rough few years and was looking to break free and do something with my life, this was it!! 💕💕

 

The second team member being my amazing partner Brad, also a very significant part and change to my life. He works full time but handles all the men duties of the business where he can. All the metal wings are welded up by him, all the cross country is designed, thought out, and assembled by him! I will admit he is not a horse person, but he loves building things! He’s very much part of the back bone to us. He volunteers all his time!! 😍 

 

The third team member is Megan, she rides at pony club with us (by us I mean me and Isla - Brad’s daughter). I believe we had her over one day discussing horses and probably riding, that she was looking for a job. BAM, that’s how that started 😂 Megan’s been with us since February and has painted many, many poles, cavaletti and cross country that you probably own! Megan rides mounted games, show jumps and dabbles in some eventing!
